HOLIDAYS ARE COMING.......

Well, Christmas is nearly here. Christmas means so many things to so many people...a time for giving, a time for family, a time for reflection of those lost and Christmases past. A time for over eating and over spending...sitting as I type this next to a stash of chocolate I am guilty of the last one :)
Whatever the holidays mean to you, enjoy what pleasures you can and cope with it as well as you can.
Christmas wishes to everyone and best wishes for TWENTY SEVENTEEN......
Here is one of the latest members of my vinyl crew....

Rebel Rebel

Carrying on with the David Bowie theme, I would like to introduce you to a new waif of mine called Rebel (after the 1974 song Rebel Rebel).
As you can see, poor kid had a tough life before she came to me and had been treated badly by a junior hairdresser....but thanks to Alison who came to the rescue she is ready to face the world....

Things just started to multiply...

All of us Sasha doll collectors know only too well, that once you let one of those little vinyl kids into your heart and into your home you are well and truly hooked and you continue to add to their numbers... Yes, people, it has happened to me, thanks to the kindness of those who arrange layaways ( I must thank Shelly from Sashadolluk here) I have added slightly to the family this month.
I must also thank Alison for Snip's hair and Ginny (Passion for Sasha) for her help in dressing them!
Here's Snip who you already know, with Brexit (1970 Brunette Gregor) and Peter (named by his previous mum) a 1969 Blonde boy who I came across as an impulse buy on ebay!

SNIP

I am still sticking to the less is more mantra and keeping my Sasha numbers to a minimum and am doing quite well. But sometimes your heart rules your head and you do things on impulse...such as buy a waif....So, this is how this 1969 girl with a bad haircut came into my life and Snip came to live with me, but not content to leave her looking like this I had to get some work done on her...but I will reveal the outcome of that next post :)
Here's the latest inmate ' SNIP'...

Say hello to....

As many of you know, I parted with all my Sasha dolls last year and have very slowly started to build up a small collection. As I am in the Autumn of my life, I have taken stock and reduced the amount of things I own. I don't need fifteen white long sleeve t shirts or fourteen pairs of Vans shoes (well, maybe the shoes). I have cut down on furniture - you name it I have cut down on it. Luckily, dogs and chocolate have escaped the cull. I NEED those things in life!
Many of us confuse want with need and end up with too much. With this is mind, I have decided to own just a few dolls, ones that jump out at me, not those who end up at my house due to me being bored and buying them from ebay on a boring Sunday afternoon.
Murphy (1968 blonde Gregor) you already have met, and also Baby PD, but I have added a few more to the vinyl fold.
Sorrow (1968 side part) named after a David Bowie song is a recent Shelly purchase, she was one of those 'must have' dolls and I have spent the past few weeks looking at her at least once a day until I could afford to bring her home.
Heaven (1969 brunette side part) was an ebay waif. I fell in love with her tangled hair  but knew from a poorly out of focus photo that she was a side part. I had previously bought a brunette but although the seller said her hair was firm it wasn't (: She didn't stay long :) I can't abide falling hair, but do love a brunette as I think they add a nice depth to a collection. The 69 Side parts are my favourite of all the Sashas, so you can't begin to imagine the joy (and surprise) when she arrived in the post. Her hair WAS NOT falling!! I have brushed it, ruffled it ,tugged it, NO loose strands...

all is as good as the day she was made hence the name Heaven! I must say a huge thank you to Ginny for custom making the t shirts for me. I love to wear asymmetrical hem t shirts with distressed jeans myself and Ginny very kindly made some for my girls....thanks Ginny!!
Also, Big thanks to Auntie Rosie Laird who made an outfit for Baby PD...thank you so much Rosie for your kindness...I will feature it in a future post...

R2D2 PD2

Baby PD is addicted to watching the TV. Today, he is watching a Star Wars Movie and is enthralled watching the robot R2D2....

No, no, no! R2D2 is not wearing a red coat and doesn't live in our kitchen....
This is our GARBAGE BIN...silly Baby!!

Ugg the Pug wants to say hello...

Not at all Sasha related but I thought today I would share  with you our baby Pug.
Say hello to Ugg the Pug pictured with my daughter. We adopted Ugg a few months ago , shortly after the death of one of our beloved Basset Hounds Prudence (PD) who is sorely missed.
Ugg is a Pug Puppy who is completely blind from birth. Her eyes never developed. We have lived with adult blind dogs but a baby pup is a whole new ball game! A whole new learning curve, she is very much loved and I am glad she is in our lives , although it must be said, she is one of the naughtiest pups I have ever owned :)

SNAP CHAT

Sasha Baby PD (1973) has well and truly made himself at home and has decided this morning to take some pictures of his big brother Murphy (1968) on an i Phone he has found lying around...and here are the results.. I LOVE the two pictures of the boys at the very end of the post...those little faces.... :)

One in a MINION....

Just when I wasn't expecting it, I have, once again, dipped my toe in the Sasha Doll Pool....
And a baby boy decided to move in....
He decided to make himself at home and first stop was the lounge and the 48 inch plasma TV

You really can't beat Sky Movies (especially The Minions Movie) on a Saturday afternoon..
Wonder who is going to be the next of his little vinyl mates that  will be coming to invade my home.....
