SNIP

I am still sticking to the less is more mantra and keeping my Sasha numbers to a minimum and am doing quite well. But sometimes your heart rules your head and you do things on impulse...such as buy a waif....So, this is how this 1969 girl with a bad haircut came into my life and Snip came to live with me, but not content to leave her looking like this I had to get some work done on her...but I will reveal the outcome of that next post :)
Here's the latest inmate ' SNIP'...

Say hello to....

As many of you know, I parted with all my Sasha dolls last year and have very slowly started to build up a small collection. As I am in the Autumn of my life, I have taken stock and reduced the amount of things I own. I don't need fifteen white long sleeve t shirts or fourteen pairs of Vans shoes (well, maybe the shoes). I have cut down on furniture - you name it I have cut down on it. Luckily, dogs and chocolate have escaped the cull. I NEED those things in life!
Many of us confuse want with need and end up with too much. With this is mind, I have decided to own just a few dolls, ones that jump out at me, not those who end up at my house due to me being bored and buying them from ebay on a boring Sunday afternoon.
Murphy (1968 blonde Gregor) you already have met, and also Baby PD, but I have added a few more to the vinyl fold.
Sorrow (1968 side part) named after a David Bowie song is a recent Shelly purchase, she was one of those 'must have' dolls and I have spent the past few weeks looking at her at least once a day until I could afford to bring her home.
Heaven (1969 brunette side part) was an ebay waif. I fell in love with her tangled hair  but knew from a poorly out of focus photo that she was a side part. I had previously bought a brunette but although the seller said her hair was firm it wasn't (: She didn't stay long :) I can't abide falling hair, but do love a brunette as I think they add a nice depth to a collection. The 69 Side parts are my favourite of all the Sashas, so you can't begin to imagine the joy (and surprise) when she arrived in the post. Her hair WAS NOT falling!! I have brushed it, ruffled it ,tugged it, NO loose strands...

all is as good as the day she was made hence the name Heaven! I must say a huge thank you to Ginny for custom making the t shirts for me. I love to wear asymmetrical hem t shirts with distressed jeans myself and Ginny very kindly made some for my girls....thanks Ginny!!
Also, Big thanks to Auntie Rosie Laird who made an outfit for Baby PD...thank you so much Rosie for your kindness...I will feature it in a future post...
