SURPRISE!

I promised Kendal a couple of weeks ago that I would do a post...and as always, I am normally busy doing something I didn't get round to it.
As many of you know Kendal is parting with her brood of dolls. I was very lucky to be able to adopt Fritz and Ross from her, both of which I have admired over the years.
I wish I could adopt more. There is a girl in particular who I love to bits and am saving up for (Kendal knows who she is), but in the meantime, I happened to stray on to Shelly's and with her help ( a HUGE thank you to Shelly for everything)
I managed to adopt two Gotz girls to keep Fritz company..... Sophie (that girl is sooo pretty I am totally in love with her ) and Sally...and here they are.....
I must thank Ginny for making the girls dresses for me...she must dread my emails ;) )

  1. They are all so lovely. I can picture Fritz and Ross fitting into your home so well. And now some girls to keep them company...perfect.

  2. WHAT ! I nearly choked on my cuppa! not ONE but TWO GOTZ GIRLS!!!! Okay what have you done with Ronny? Whoever you are you obviously have no idea about her aversion to anything GOTZ ! and now the ice palace is almost full to overflowing with the little bu..blighters!
Can it be you've seen the light? if so next time switch it on so we can SEE these new girls of yours before they leave via the backdoor when we're not looking!! :)
Now I'm off for a lie down... next they'll be saying cakes good for you!

  3. OH GOSH! I nearly fainted with this shock!
Actually on Friday afternoon, after numerous repeated requests for several months (although I did tell them the reason why I couldn't go!)for me to go for my long overdue eye test... I am told that I do definitely need my spectacles updating... SO I could be seeing things that aren't really here!
Better pinch myself to make sure that I'm not dreaming!
I am totally ASTOWNDED... but so absolutely thrilled that these two of my favourite Gotz waifs have joined Ross and Fritz in coming to live with you. A MILLION/TRILLION thanks indeed. I have always admired/adored the characters of these four dolls.
(How could you and Shelly have kept this wonderful secret from me until now? I could have enjoyed some much needed better nights sleep instead of worrying as to where my precious Brood were finally going to live!)
Some friends YOU BOTH are! I shall sleep so much better tonight knowing that I shall at least be seeing more of these four in the future.

Off to try to 'execute' a few dance 'moves' in the living room area (if the old heart, lungs and Arthritis will allow it) whilst singing...
    'Heaven, I'm in heaven,
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek'
    (Since I learned....???)

    Heaven, I'm in heaven,
And the cares that hang around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak'
    (Now I know.....???)

PS. Denise please could you try to insert the necessary words that are needed here.
Thinking that I'd better now go and sit down quietly!

    1. Heaven I'm in Heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
and I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek

and the last line of the second one is
When we're out together dancing ( swinging)cheek to cheek.

    2. Sorry, I think that I rather misled you here. I was wanting/wishing you to try to make up new last verse lines to link with SS's four of my Sasha Brood adoptions.

    3. Heaven I'm in Heaven
cos my Gotz are now living with Ronnie
and her icy crown is falling delightfully
while the Gotz do smile and fill me with glee!

      Heaven I'm in Heaven
My gotz will melt the ice queen heart you'll see
She'll soon be offering toddlers cake and tea
while she scrubs the floor down on bend-ed knee

  4. I take it you are okay with me adopting a couple more of your brood then! Please forgive Shelly...it was ME who made her keep quiet!! I would love to see you singing and dancing right now...perhaps you could post that on facebook!! Here's hoping you are not sending anymore of you brood off to Shelly any time soon...we are on stale bread and water here as it is :)
Lots of love from your fab four ...and me xx

    1. OK? I'm over the moon that these precious FOUR of my Brood are being kept together. Whilst they all have their own individual little characteristics they still maintain the Brood's overall qualities of being kind, well behaved, grateful for everything and above all, thoughtful to others.

    2. I can't guarantee they will be well behaved if they live with me though....

  5. Feb 5, 2017: "Congrats on your new boy...even though he is a G-G-Gotz! All the crew at Absolutely Sasha!"

" Hi Simply, I think the Gotz may be closing in on you next ;-)"

Haha, who called it! Sorry, but Daddy Steve loves to be right, and since it happens so rarely, he must gloat insufferably about it. They're absolutely beautiful girls and look terrific with Fritz and Ross! Congrats:-)

  6. I hate to say it Steve but you were right I have been bitten by the Gotz bug.
Now you can gloat for the rest of the day and then we will say no more about it :) I don't suppose you are any good at predicting the winning LOTTO numbers are you Steve?!

    1. Sadly I'm no good with LOTTO numbers. That's why Gregoropolis is such an impoverished place, although it also keeps the population in check. ;-)

    2. Oh Steve! I was relying on you to improve my Sasha doll finances :)

  7. Having finally got over this wonderful shock of four of the Brood being adopted by SS I must say how lovely Sally and Sophie look in their new Passion for Sasha denim dresses. What a delightful idea having the different collar and button details, allowing them to be the same, yet different, plus still knowing which are THEIR own dresses.
Many thanks again for your adoption, care and attention to my two ex-girls.

  8. Believe me, poor Ginny must absolutely dread my emails when I ask her to make up my ideas.. and of course I always want them yesterday! It is a little rule of mine here...my vinyl crew must always wear denim (my favourite fabric)

    1. What a super idea and makes your Vinyl Crew stand out from all the others.

  9. I'm very concerned here that you've had a hard bump on the head and would like to make a suggestion that you go to A&E just to have it checked out.....as I really cannot believe that you're buying GOTZ dollies of your own accord LOL!!
Seriously though, they're lovely ones and I'm very glad that you've finally 'seen the light' LOL. I never liked Gotz dolls that much at first, I couldn't see the attraction to be honest, but it's funny how times change and now I have my girls (and my Toddler Teddy) and they're all very cute :) and so lovable!
