A little blue....

Continuing our series of  'How to bore the pants off of you' Pip (1968 single fringe )  and toddler Mayhem have offered to show you a little bit of my blue themed Bridgewater pottery.
My favourite is the British Isles design... I have shed loads of this design.. I just adore it! Another fav is the Love design teapot very simple but it contains, I think, one of the nicest words in the universe...Love. Wonderful thing to be loved and even nicer to give love back :)

Heart to Heart

Mayhem (re rooted Toddler) wanted to show you a little bit more of my Emma Bridgewater china. I have amassed so much of it that I put out pieces I like for display and change them around when the mood takes me. Well, to be honest I forget what pieces I do have :)
This is part of my 'PINK HEARTS' collection... I will just show you a little as you will get bored I am sure :)
Mayhem was very fond of the cow creamer (this is a very rare piece and commands prices of £250 or more ) So, ask yourself would you pay that for a piece of china that is prone to getting dropped, chipped and the glaze developing 'crazing' or a Sasha.....

TIME FOR A SPOT OF TEA....

I am a great fan of EMMA BRIDGEWATER pottery ( I know my soul sister Dee is too) I collect it, I have loads of it, some displayed in my kitchen, and boxes of it wrapped up in bubble wrap in my garage :)
So, today I thought it would be nice for some of the vinyl crew to use it.....
First up, we have Sophie ( a delightful Gotz...yes, Gotz.. you read that correctly who used to live with Kendal) I adore this girl so it seemed only right that she should get her picture taken with the one gallon (20 cup) teapot...it is huge - nearly the height of a toddler!!
Then we have toddler Mischief with the 4 cup size and lastly Quinn with the tiny one cup pot ...well, he is only little!

Finally, the mugs... Quinn is standing in the two pint mug, then there is the one pint mug, the half pint and the tiny mug and this is only the tip of the Emma Bridgewater pottery iceberg :)

A SPOT OF BOTHER.....

Isn't it lovely when children play nicely together...... Toddlers Spencer and Teddy (both named after two of my naughty French Bulldogs) are enjoying the company of their baby sister Pixie and little Quinn.....
Or are they......

Don't they look sweet?

SURPRISE!

I promised Kendal a couple of weeks ago that I would do a post...and as always, I am normally busy doing something I didn't get round to it.
As many of you know Kendal is parting with her brood of dolls. I was very lucky to be able to adopt Fritz and Ross from her, both of which I have admired over the years.
I wish I could adopt more. There is a girl in particular who I love to bits and am saving up for (Kendal knows who she is), but in the meantime, I happened to stray on to Shelly's and with her help ( a HUGE thank you to Shelly for everything)
I managed to adopt two Gotz girls to keep Fritz company..... Sophie (that girl is sooo pretty I am totally in love with her ) and Sally...and here they are.....
I must thank Ginny for making the girls dresses for me...she must dread my emails ;) )

Life is a journey

A couple of days ago I saw this boy on ebay so I made a bid, not expecting for one minute that I would win because, as all collectors know, it is the last few seconds of an auction that count :)
Minutes later I clicked on to Ginger's blog and read the extremely sad post about the loss of her step son Lance recently. After leaving a comment I went back on to ebay to find that I was the only bid and that I had won....
What to call this 1975 boy...well, there was only one choice really ( and I do hope Ginger won't mind) it was LANCE.
Thirty eight years ago I lost identical twin boys. They were born too early and lived for only six hours. After coming home empty handed from hospital to a nursery full of baby things, we decided to foster, to give the love we had to another baby for a while. We fostered a little African boy named ...Lance. It was very difficult all those years ago, people couldn't accept a young white girl pushing a pram with a black baby in it. I lived in a nice area but even so, I was called names and spat at, at times. So in memory of the baby boy I looked after until his mum could cope with him again and in memory of Ginger's boy  I would like to introduce to you Lance.
Thinking of you and your family Ginger and sending you all much love xx
